Brief description of call: With fish prices and global demand at an all time high, Oman is poised for take off with a 3000+km coastline, ideal aquatic conditions, and world-class investment guidelines now in place. This teleconference will focus on opportunities for U.S. firms in the aquaculture sector in Oman. Participants will receive an overview of doing business under the U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement, as well as information on specific upcoming opportunities in fish farming, fish exports, and aquaculture. Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Wealth will outline Oman’s best prospect species, suitable sites, the investment framework, and next steps for interested investors. Participants will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Ambassador Holtz and senior decision-makers during the Q&A portion of the call. In addition, key local investors will be on hand for the discussion and the Embassy can facilitate matchmaking between participants subsequent to the call.
