U.S.-Pakistan Diplomatic Notes Canceling Annex III of February & March 2007

The Embassy of the United States ofAmerica presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ofthe Islamic Republic ofPakistan, and has the hOllor to refer to the Ministry the Air Transport Agreement between the Government ofthe United States ofAmerica and the Government ofPakistan, signed at Rawalpindi, April 10, 1997 (the "Agreement''). and amended April 12 anq 29, 1999.

In light of the Embassy's receipt ofMinistry of Foreign Affairs Note No. USA· 2/88/2007. dated 14 February 2007. concerning removal from the Agreement of the provision relating to regulations ofcomputer reservation systems, the Embassy proposes that Annex illto the Agreement be deleted. Ifthe Ministry concurs with this proposal. the Embassy further proposes that this note and the Ministry's affirmative note in reply: shall constitute an agreement on this subject which shall enter into force on the date of the Ministry's note in reply.

The Embassy ofthe United States of America takes this opportunity to renew to the Ministry ofForeign Affairs the assurances ofits highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America in Islamabad and has the honour to refer to the U.S. Embassy's note no. 356/ECON dated February 23, 2007.

The same has been considered. It is decided to delete AnnexIII of the Air Sezvices Agreement (ASA), concluded between Pakistan and the United States, in 1997.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the esteemed Embassy the assurances of its highest consideration.
