| White House Press Release Office of the Press Secretary, Deputy Spokesman Washington, DC May 19, 2005 President Bush to Attend 2005 Group of Eight (G-8) SummitPresident Bush will travel to the United Kingdom to attend the G-8 Summit in Gleneagles, Scotland on July 6-8. The G-8 Summits bring together Leaders of the world's major industrial democracies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The European Union is also represented at the G-8 Summits. At previous G-8 Summits, Leaders have discussed a wide range of international economic, political, and security issues.
