State Department Holds Gathering to Unite Efforts to Protect Caribbean Ecosystems, March 26, 2004

At the end of the week-long White Water to Blue Water Partnership Conference, Assistant Secretary John Turner congratulates the more than 700 participants including representatives from 31 governments in the wider Caribbean region, the travel and tourism industry, academic, international organizations and environmental groups. During the week-long conference, the participants worked together to nurture or form more than 100 partnerships aimed at protecting the region's marine and coastal ecosystems. [State Dept. photo]
