Harris, BonitaBIOGRAPHY Bonita Harris Ms. Harris is assigned as a Citizen Services Specialist in the Africa Division, Office of Citizen Services, Department of State. She is a liaison on American citizen services issues to U.S. Embassy consular officers in central African countries, including those in the Congo Basin. Her prior assignments include London, where she served as a consular officer, and Rwanda, where she served as a consular/economic officer. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, she worked as a Community Liaison Officer in U.S. Embassies in Dublin, Abidjan and Cairo, and as a secondary school teacher and economic researcher. Ms. Harris has a B.A. in International Affairs and a Master’s Degree in Teaching. She recently moved to Washington after 19 years overseas. |
