| Fact Sheet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Washington, DC November 7, 2004 Climate Leaders
Climate Leaders, an EPA voluntary industry-government partnership, encourages companies to develop long-term, comprehensive climate change strategies. Many corporations have already made great strides in reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through participation in EPA programs such as Energy Star and Waste Wise. Climate Leaders gives companies the opportunity to take their climate commitment one step further. Partners set a corporate-wide GHG reduction goal and inventory their emissions to measure their progress. By reporting their inventory data to EPA, partners create a lasting record of their accomplishments. Partners also identify themselves as corporate environmental leaders and strategically position themselves as climate change policy continues to unfold. The Climate Leaders Advantage
