Ambassadors' Fund Projects for Asia and the Near East

Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration
Washington, DC
February 23, 2005

The Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration’s Ambassadors’ Fund, which was started in 2000, provides Ambassadors at U.S. embassies with the means to respond quickly to critical, low-cost gaps in refugee assistance and protection. PRM’s Ambassadors’ Fund supports projects that meet gaps in ongoing refugee programs that can be filled by local non-governmental organizations and are not already being addressed the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, other UN agencies, or non-governmental organizations. Following are Ambassadors’ Fund projects approved in fiscal year 2004 for Asia and the Near East.
