1972-2009 Multiple HHS Health Agencies (e.g., NIH, DCD, HRSA, SAMHSA, AHRQ) Multiple Multiple Several HHS Agencies have funded a substantial number of research projects over the years addressing issues such as sexual and domestic violence, trauma and PTSD, subtance abuse and HIV/AIDS, and the interaction of these and other variables and chacteristics across different populations (e.g. youths, adults, men, women) and in different social environments (e.g. urban, rural, U.S. international). While not directly addressing human trafficking per se, this vast body of research can help inform about the social and medical consequences attendant to violence, trauma, abuse, etc. The computer retrieval of information on Scientific Projects (CRISP) is searchable biomedical database of the many projects looking into these issues. http://crisp.cit.nih.gov/
