The Institute, sponsored by OS and hosted by the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia, examines the meaning and application of leadership through a series of seminars, discussions and workshops with academic researchers, educators and business executives. The 2010 Institute focused on new thinking on leadership as represented in academic research and private sector practices through the lenses of one visionary leader, George Washington. Fifteen directors from Department-assisted overseas schools participated in the four-day Institute.
