The Kyiv International School (KIS) is a private, non-profit, coeducational day school, which offers an educational program from PK (3-year-old class) through Secondary IV (17- year-old class) for students of all nationalities. The school was founded in 1992. The school comprises 3 terms extending from 25 August to December 16, from January 9 to March 29 and from March 30 to June 22.

Organization: The School is governed by the Board of Directors of Quality Schools International, the membership of which is formed as set forth in the Bylaws of Quality Schools International. An Advisory Board, composed of 6 to 10 members who reside in Kyiv, assists the School in its operation. The School operates with the approval of the Ukrainian government.

Curriculum: The School offers a performance-based, mastery-learning educational program with a curriculum similar to that of U.S. public and private schools. Instruction takes advantage of small class sizes and the diverse educational backgrounds of the students. KIS is an IB World School and offers the IB Diploma to students in grades 11 and 12. Advanced Placement classes are offered in the secondary program. Instruction is in English. Foreign languages offered at KIS include Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, French, Dutch and German. Students participate in a wide range of interscholastic and cocurriculum activities. The School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a full member of the Central and Eastern European School Association.

Faculty: In the 2011-2012 school year, there are 105 full-time faculty members.

Enrollment: At the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year, enrollment was 734 (PK-grade 12).

Facilities: The park like campus includes an early childhood wing, two secondary school wings, a new music room, media center and art complex, 3 computer laboratories, 2 gymnasiums, an indoor pool, a cafeteria, a snack café, playgrounds, a purpose built track, an artificial turf soccer field, and other outdoor space.

Finances: In the 2011-2012 school year, 98% of the School's income derives from tuition. Annual tuition rates are as follows: PK (full-day): $9,000 and Kdg-grade 12: $15,700. The School also charges a non-refundable annual capital fund fee of $1,600 per student for ages 5 and above. There is a one-time registration fee of $300 for new students. Bus fees are $1,800 per school year (round trip). These fees are payable in U.S. dollars. (All fees are quoted in U.S. dollars.)
