OS hosted a meeting of executive directors of the overseas regional education associations at the Department of State in December 2009. The directors participated in briefings by the Regional Education Officers, a representative of the College Board, the director of Project AERO and the project manager of World Virtual School. In its 14th year, the program offers the directors insight and information on the Department of State and on programs and services in the United States that may be provided to students, faculty and administrators in overseas schools. The program also assists the Department in its effort to increase and maintain American education and values overseas. OS will host the program again in December 2010.
