MATHCOUNTS 2009 National Competition
MATHCOUNTS is a national math enrichment, coaching and competition program that increases enthusiasm for and enhances achievement in middle school mathematics throughout the United States.The Office of Overseas Schools fielded a team of four students from overseas schools at the National MATHCOUNTS competition, held May 7-10, in Orlando, Florida. The MATHCOUNTS teams are comprised of the four top scoring middle school students from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands and the State Department-assisted overseas schools.
