 A two-day workshop provided by the College Board at Georgetown University, Washington, DC.  For Counselors new to college counseling and who are participating in the summer institute.  Fee Supported.

Summer Institute for International Admissions
June 16-20

 A four-day College Board information/training Institute specifically for college guidance counselors in American/international schools.  Fee supported.  Scholarships available for A/OS assisted schools.

American Education Reaches Out: Common Core Plus

June 15-20

Six institutes at the 
The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia: Academic Leaders (for curriculum coordinators and administrators); AERO: Common Core Plus Workshops on curriculum design in English, Mathematics, Social Studies and  World Languages. Preference will be given to administrator/curriculum coordinator and teacher teams. Tuition, room, and board are free.

American Education Reaches Out: CommonCore Plus

Foresight Education Program Workshop
June 22-25

A three-day workshop in Washington, D.C. for teachers in overseas schools committed to incorporating "foresight education" into the school program.  The workshop includes an introduction to future studies, work of international futurists, and real world applications of future studies in government, business, and NGOs.  Limited to 20 participants by application.  All local costs supported.

Strategies for Engaging all Learners: Teaching Optimum Topic Exploration
presented by Dr. Belinda Karge

The Institutes will be held at NOVA Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  They will highlight the most recent research and applied strategies in education.  Institute fees include 4 days of hotel lodging plus breakfast, lunch, and all course materials.  Fee stupport is available for A/OS assisted schools. JOSTI - Jefferson Overseas Schools Technology Institute
June 23-27

The 21st annual state-of-the-art technology information/training for administrators, teachers, and techies
will be held in conjunction with 
the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Fairfax, VA at Annandale High School (due to renovations taking place at TJHSST). Seventy-five (75) participants by application.  Tuition, room, and board are free.
