Unaccompanied Tour Community Meetup, Nov. 15

If you have a family member serving at an unaccompanied, high-risk post, you are invited to an Unaccompanied Tour (UT) Community Meetup. “YOU” includes spouses, tandems, partners, Members of Household (MOHs), parents, siblings, and children of all ages who are experiencing an Unaccompanied Tour or have just been assigned to one.

Sunday, November 15, 2009
2:00-4:00 PM
Community Room at AAFSW Headquarters

4001 North Ninth Street, Suite 214
Arlington, VA 22203

This is a great opportunity to meet others in the area who are or will be experiencing an unaccompanied tour. Members of the Family Liaison Office (FLO) staff will also be present to answer questions. Children are welcome, and representatives from the Foreign Service Youth Foundation (FSYF) will be there to make this event extra fun for them.

The meetup will take place in the first floor community room at the headquarters of the Association of American Foreign Service Worldwide (AAFSW) at 4001 North Ninth Street, Suite 214, in Arlington, VA and is accessible by car and metro. Drivers will find parking at the Ballston metro ($1 for three hours), metered parking on the street, and limited free parking behind the building. Please note that you must obtain a token from the building management to park behind the building. If you are taking the Metro, the Ballston Metro stop is just three blocks away.

Please RSVP by November 11th to FLOaskUT@state.gov or call FLO at 202-647-1076 with your name (and ages of any children attending).

This event is co-sponsored by FLO, AAFSW, and FSYF.
