Sometimes the best stories have the fewest words
Do you have a photo that tells an interesting story about the people, culture or lifestyle in a country where the Department has a presence? Submit your best images for a chance to be featured in State Magazine, including a special edition of End State.

How to Enter
Entries should be emailed to State Magazine at by October 15, 2013. Only one entry should be submitted per email. Please include your name, address, telephone number, email address, and a detailed photo caption. 

Photographs must be high-resolution digital images. Only digital entries are eligible; no print or film submissions will be accepted. All files must be 10 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG or TIFF format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image). Images embedded in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint documents will not be accepted.

All entries must be received by October 15, 2013 at 9 a.m. EST. The contest is open to everyone, except where prohibited by law. State Magazine reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s), and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest. By entering the contest, the entrant acknowledges that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights or intellectual property rights of any person or entity. By entering the contest, all entrants grant State Magazine irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries in connection with the contest and promotion of the contest. State Magazine reserves the right to verify the validity and originality of any entry and/or entrant (including an entrant's identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions. This contest is void where prohibited.
