The Diplomatic Security Training Center offers both Best Practice and customized courses to other government agencies and departments designed to address the specific NIST-identified IT security roles of the audience. Best Practice courses may be coordinated using the Standard Form 182 - Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training.  However, courses that are customized to meet individual agency systems and requirements must be done through an Interagency Agreement (IAA) form (FMS 7600 A & B).

For customized courses, Diplomatic Security cybersecurity subject matter experts will evaluate the agency’s training needs and design courses that conform to that agency's cybersecurity policies and requirements to meet the Federal Infomration Security Modernization Act of 2014.

Benefits of the DS-customized cybersecurity courses include:

  • NIST-compliant role-based training.
  • Training that highlights the agency’s cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Instructor-led sessions.
  • On- or off-site instruction.
  • Leverage existing best practices and subject matter expertise.
  • Low-cost curriculum development and delivery.

The Diplomatic Security Training Center currently offers the following Best Practice cybersecurity training courses:
