Jose Morales (aka Edwin Bermudez) is wanted for making false claims to U.S. citizenship and making false statements in application and use of passport.  Mr. Morales was first discovered when he supplied a false Puerto Rican birth certificate and Massachusetts driver's license in support of his U.S. passport application.  Both documents were in the name of Edwin Bermudez. 

Record checks revealed the true identity of Jose Morales, including various warrants and an extensive crimina record.  Mr. Morales was previously wanted for driving under the influence, weapons charges, and sexual misconduct.

Jose Morales' whereabouts are currently unknown, but he has significant ties to the Dominican Republic, where he is originally from.  If you have seen or have any information on Jose Morales (aka Edwin Bermudez), please contact us at DSSMostWanted@state.gov.  Please do not approach the fugitive by yourself as he is known to be armed and dangerous.
