The Bureau of Diplomatic Security Service's Computer Investigations and Forensics (CIF) Branch conducts worldwide investigations involving computers or other digital devices. CIF is dedicated to supporting Diplomatic Security and other U.S. Department of State programs by seizing, examining and analyzing digital evidence used in both criminal and non-criminal activities that affect the U.S. Department of State mission. CIF contributes to National Security through cooperation with other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and participation on various task forces. |
