Under the watch of Diplomatic Security special agents, Afghan President Hamid Karzai holds the Philadelphia Liberty Medal awarded to him by Mayor John Street at a ceremony at Independence Hall. President Karzai said the medal's $100,000 prize will go to support Afghan children who have been orphaned in the recent conflicts.
