A State Department Facility
To protect U.S. embassies, consulates, and other diplomatic missions against bombings, Diplomatic Security security engineering officers are posted worldwide to develop and maintain state-of-the-art systems that keep intruders out while protecting Department of State employees. Here, a security engineering officer tests an x-ray machine used to scan items entering diplomatic missions.
