GOING OVERSEAS FOR SINGLES AND COUPLES WITHOUT CHILDREN (MQ 200)

This three-hour workshop for singles and couples going overseas without children gives participants an opportunity to discuss the psychological process of preparing for an assignment abroad. As every move is different, this course is not limited to those embarking on their first overseas assignment. Offered in conjunction with MQ 220 in the afternoon.

GOING OVERSEAS FOR FAMILIES AND COUPLES WITH CHILDREN (MQ 210)

9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Family units (children in grades 2-12) and parents of younger children and/or those leaving children behind discuss the psychological process of preparing for an assignment abroad. Offered in conjunction with MQ 220 and MQ 230 in the afternoon.

GOING OVERSEAS - LOGISTICS FOR ADULTS (MQ 220)

February 25, 2009 (Wednesday evening)
March 7, 2009 (Saturday, 1-3:30 p.m.)

The afternoon session of the Going Overseas day covers the "nuts and bolts" of planning for the move overseas. Participants learn a timetable for moving, how to plan for a consumables shipment, and various regulations and allowances pertinent to the move.

The afternoon session of the Going Overseas day covers the logistics of planning for the move overseas with special focus on the needs of children. Participants learn what they can do to prepare for the move, how to sort their belongings, and the normal childhood reactions to moving.
