NEW! Next CTC job fair is August 25th. View the list of participating companies and their hiring needs.
The Career Transition Center schedules three job fairs annually, providing a splendid opportunity to network, find a job, or discover job leads. Private sector and nonprofit employers attend because they have or expect to have jobs to fill that require foreign affairs skills and/or security clearances.
The fairs are scheduled during the months in which the Job Search Program (JSP) is in session so that participants can practice the interviewing and networking techniques they are learning in the Program. The fair also gives JSP participants the chance to present resumes to prospective employers and learn about different private sector companies and non-profit organizations.
Approximately 35 employers and 120 job seekers participate in each CTC Job Fair. The job fairs are usually held on FSI's basketball court. Participants can expect a lot of noise and activity.
Employees and retirees of the U.S. foreign affairs agencies are invited to attend. Those agencies include:
A USG employee or retiree ID is required for admittance. Family members are welcome to attend, but must pre-register with the Family Liaison Office's Employment Office in advance. To pre-register, email AskFLOEmployment@state.gov.
