This Transition Center event, in coordination with GLIFAA, will address the unique situations affecting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender employees and their families overseas and help them understand and work with current USG policies. A panel of experts will address such topics as immigration, adoption and international LGBT human rights concerns. A second panel will include LGBT employees and family members who will speak to the realities in the field. In culmination, a resource fair will include representatives from various offices and associations.
Participant Feedback:
"It was good to know that high level people are willing to hear from LGBT employees who might run in to bureaucratic or logistical issues. Also to know that there is so much support for LGBT families at State. I was really impressed."
"I just really appreciated how serious and proactive they are about ensuring the best and most equal employment experience for LGBT employees."
