Singles in the Foreign Service (MQ203)

Register for this course to hear the good, bad, and real of being a single in the Foreign Service. Participants will hear from a diverse panel of current Foreign Service singles about practical, logistical and social issues relevant to a single living a transient lifestyle.

Participant Feedback:

"I liked hearing from single Foreign Service Officers directly, also getting resources to contact or read. I also really liked that it was at night, so I didn't have to justify being away from the office for part of a day, and I didn't have to really give away my single status to a supervisor when signing up for the course."

"I learned more about how the overseas moving process works, resources online and at post, ideas about who to go to for help and support, ways to get involved in activities overseas, and to always accept invitations."

"Good class. I enjoyed hearing everyone's different opinions and stories. Their personal examples made things more real and were helpful. I liked the ideas and suggestions they gave."
