The IO&NGO Security Overseas Seminar is a two-day course that teaches participants about overseas security and safety risks, and strategies to prevent and prepare for threats. Experts from State Department, Peace Corps, and elsewhere will cover topics on criminal trends, surveillance, explosives/mines, hostage survival, cross cultural issues, crisis management and more. Consular Affairs and OSAC experts will brief participants on the assistance and services available abroad.
The overall focus of the course is on the individual and the actions needed to stay safe. Registration is limited to 40 persons in order to facilitate scenarios, discussion, and networking for this special workshop.
