Earth Day 2011: Women in the Green Economy
| People in the developing world, primarily women and girls, walk 6 kilometers on average to bring water to their families. |
In honor of Earth Day, the Department of State invites you to participate in a 6k Walk for Water on Wednesday, April 27 11:30am-1:30pm.
The walk starts at 11:30am at the Harry S Truman building’s 21st street entrance (map).
The first 50 people to finish will receive green diplomacy initiative goodie bags!

Donations made in honor of this walk will benefit the FSN Emergency Relief Fund.
