Industry Day 2005

Industry Day 2005

On Wednesday, 2 November, we held our 4th annual OBO Industry Day Event at the Crystal City Marriott Hotel.  This year's event far surpassed the previous ones as we had almost 1000 attendees who traveled from around the world to attend.  This year's focus was on new embassy construction and detailed how any company, from the smallest "mom and pop" ones, to the engineering giants, can compete.  As in the past, we also provided briefings and information on how to obtain security and facility clearances.  After the formal presentations, we exhibit booths where participants interfaced with OBO and DOS agencies.  One of the key results of this forum was the interface between the myriad industry participants.  Comments heard throughout the event were: "Best Ever", "Extremely professional and timely", and "Superb professionals providing state of the art platforms for diplomacy".
