Shoot, Score, GOAL!: Diplomacy through Sports
(June 11): Friday began the opening of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where citizens around the world collectively watch with anticipation, utter sighs of relief, and scream for joy as goals are made.
This is a wonderful example where we show that we have more in common than what we think divides us. No language barriers, no misunderstandings - just playing to win, and having some fun during the process.
