Thank you very much. As you know the tripartite plus commission has charged us with answering two questions, as you saw from the conclusions produced in Burundi on April 20th and 21st. Those issues we need to go over are the fusion cell issue and then the other issue will be the wanted lists. We thank the Government of Burundi for passing to the African Union the letter that was produced by the Ministers at the last meeting.
Everyone should now have the proposed agenda for today on what we need to go over.And we the facilitator will keep track of the time and of documentation to be produced. Just to make a brief comment before we officially begin. I want to thank each and every delegation for your commitment to make this process work. This process is your effort. Is information of the effort and commitment by these countries to work together, to coordinate and to cooperate in addressing the fundamental problems that affect all of you, which is rebel forces as well as how do we cooperate and coordinate to enhance relationships with each country. How do we promote and develop economic integration; how do we help and promote diplomatic relations.
And the commitment you have shown so far has been exemplary and has been a model for other areas and other organizations. This is the fourteenth meeting that we are having and this is the second sub-commission meeting.
We as facilitator are basically here to be, as we say, a service provider of what you want us to do. And everything that has been accomplished has been the work of each of you. And we want to commend each of you and also we affirm our commitment to support you and to provide any service that you would like us to engage in. I would also like to welcome our MONUC colleagues and to thank you very much for your participation. With that, I guess we can begin our meeting.
