Hotel Information

Blocks of hotel rooms have been secured for the U.S.-Africa Business Conference (USABC) at three hotels. Attendees and speakers are responsible for making their own reservations.

  • Hotel List: The following hotels have reserved a block of rooms for USABC. The Hyatt and Millennium hotels are within walking distance of the Westin Cincinnati, the location of the conference. To reserve a room, select a hotel and register by clicking one of the links below. If you have trouble reserving a room through the links, please copy and paste the web address into your browser.
  • African Guests and U.S. Private Sector: Discounted room rates are provided by each of the above hotels. Please note that the final cost of the hotel room will be the base rate plus applicable state and local taxes.
     
  • Hotel Reservation Deadline: Room blocks and discounted rates for USABC will be available until a limited amount of time or until the rooms are sold out (whichever comes first).

Transportation

There are several methods of transportation to Cincinnati. USABC recommends that travelers fly into Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). CVG is located approximately 12 miles (20 km), or a 20 minute drive, from downtown Cincinnati. Participants are responsible for organizing their own transportation from the airport to downtown Cincinnati. Please organize your ground transportation based on the following options. Many of these travel options require cash. We recommend drawing cash at the airport from a cash machine (ATM) or exchanging currency at a Fifth-Third Bank branch.

  • From Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport:

o Shuttle - Executive Transportation

  • Fee: $20 one way; $30 round trip
  • Hours: 24 hours
  • Travel Time to Downtown: 20 minutes

o Taxi

  • Fee: approximately $27 one way
  • Hours: 24 hours
  • Travel Time to Downtown: 20 minutes

  • About: For cab service from the airport, visit the taxi desk in the Terminal 3 baggage claim or use the courtesy phone in Terminal 2 baggage claim. Cab service is also available in designated curbside spots outside the baggage claim.

o Bus - Transit Authority Of Northern Kentucky (TANK)

  • Fee: $1.75 each way
  • Hours: 5:00AM – 12:00AM
  • Travel Time to Downtown: 20 minutes

  • About: TANK provides transportation to downtown Cincinnati from CVG Airport Delta Terminal 3. Drop-off is at the corner of Main Street at 4th Street/Convergys Corporation, one-half mile from the Westin Cincinnati.

o Rental Car

  • About: Various major rental car companies are available at CVG. For options and to make reservations in advance, please refer to the CVG Rental Car Webpage.
  • Parking: Valet and self parking is available in several public parking garages in downtown Cincinnati. Parking costs approximately $15-24 per day.
  • From Lunken/Cincinnati Municipal Airport (LUK): Lunken airport is primarily used for private and charter flights.

o Taxi

  • Fee: approximately $14 each way
  • Hours: 24 hours
  • Travel Time to Downtown: 11 minutes
  • About: A taxi company must be called for taxi service from Lunken Airport, the area's private airport. The following taxi services are recommended:
