Ambassador Goldberg (July 6): "Resolution 1874, the most recent U.N. resolution, includes important new provisions on inspections, as well as on financial matters; they are aimed at North Korea’s nuclear and missile technology programs. And so our discussions have been centered on this resolution, as well as the prior resolutions." Full Text

State Designation of North Korean Nuclear Entity
June 30: "The U.S. Department of State today targeted North Korea’s nuclear proliferation network by designating Namchongang Trading Corporation (NCG) under Executive Order 13382. E.O. 13382 is an authority aimed at freezing the assets of proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their supporters, and at isolating them from the U.S. financial and commercial systems." -Full Text
