QUESTION: Any comments on the talks today?
AMBASSADOR DAVIES: Just wonderful, preliminary discussions, bilateral talks with Director General Sugiyama. He’s wonderful to host me, and I’ll have a chance to continue discussions with him at dinner. Of course tomorrow is the trilateral, and I believe there will be a press event after that. You’ll have a chance to ask questions there. We had a very good exchange of views, bilaterally on North Korea.
QUESTION: Is there any important direction you’re hoping to aim for [during] the talks?
AMBASSADOR DAVIES: Maximum coordination and consultation, and communication. Thank you very much.
