Thank you very much, I've just come from a meeting with Director General Ihara. I've had a number of meetings with Foreign Ministry counterparts, including Director General Tomita, Vice Foreign Minister Saiki, in addition to the meetings that I've had with other ministries and with political leaders. I've reached the conclusion that U.S. - Japan relations are very good and are getting better. We've had excellent and substantive consultations on a full range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, everything from the issues pertaining to realignment in Okinawa to hot spots such as Syria and North Korea.
I think that we are very well positioned for the fall and a series of meetings and important policy challenges that face both the U.S. and Japan. This is my first visit to Japan as Assistant Secretary, but it's certainly not my last. You'll be seeing a lot more of me, and I know that I'll be able to continue the close cooperation and deep consultations on the host of issues that we share in common. Thank you very much, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next visit.
