The United States is committed to helping Armenia strengthen democratic institutions and foster sustainable and inclusive economic growth. U.S. assistance supports Armenian government efforts to develop democratic institutions and create an environment for sustainable economic development, particularly in light of the peaceful transition of power in 2018. Bilateral Economic Relations The United States and Armenia have a number of agreements affecting trade and investment, including a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement, an Agreement on Trade Relations, an Investment Incentive Agreement, a Bilateral Investment Treaty, and an Agreement on Science and Technology Cooperation. The two governments convene the U.S.-Armenia Strategic Dialogue to discuss mutual areas of cooperation. Integrated Country Strategies The Integrated Country Strategy is the four-year strategy articulating U.S. priorities in a given country. The Chief of Mission leads the strategy. This includes 306,000 Pfizer doses. Of the 306,000 vaccine doses, 100% were donated through bilateral agreements. The United States is committed to leading an international and coordinated effort to accelerate access to safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines to meet global needs. The United States is working with other governments and partners including COVAX, Caricom, and the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) to protect communities from COVID-19 and apply lessons from this pandemic to enhance health security now and in the future.
