The Russian Youth Agency, working in conjunction with the Open World Leadership Center, hosted a delegation of 15 American university student body presidents in Moscow and Yaroslavl. (Note: Participating universities included the University of Maine, Duke, CalTech, University of Nevada-Reno, Princeton University, University of Indiana, University of Southern Mississippi, Emory, University of Kentucky, University of Florida, Murray State, Castleton State College, Florida Agricultural University, Chapman University, and North Carolina State.) Students visited cultural landmarks and met with student counterparts and local leaders. The students also attended Vice President Biden’s address at the Bauman University in Moscow (see below). Finally, students discussed opportunities to further interaction between American and Russian youth with First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration, Vladislav Surkov. The visit follows a similar exchange in November 2010; two additional exchanges of 15 U.S. university student leaders are scheduled to take place in 2011.
