Working Group Co-Chairs Meet in Canada
Working Group co-chairs National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Administrator Bolden and Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Head Popovkin met on February 29, 2012, while in Quebec City, Canada, for a meeting of the International Space Station (ISS) heads of agencies. The Roscosmos and NASA space agency leaders noted successful ongoing and potential future cooperation in space exploration in the ISS Program, life sciences, and space sciences. They also pledged to continue their efforts to build upon decades of successful civil space cooperation by expanding their joint and multilateral efforts in space exploration. Working Group Co-Chairs Meet in South Africa
Working Group co-chairs National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Administrator Charles Bolden and Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Head Vladimir Popovkin met on October 4 at the International Astronautical Congress in Cape Town, South Africa. The agency heads shared updates on agency developments, reviewed ongoing successful cooperation (including the International Space Station program), and discussed potential future cooperative endeavors.
Roscosmos Officials Observe Final U.S. Space Shuttle Launch
A Russian delegation, led by the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), traveled to Cape Canaveral, Florida, to view the last Space Shuttle launch (STS-135) on July 8, 2011. Some members of the delegation also toured the Kennedy Space Center on the margins of the launch activities.
Space Cooperation Working Group Meeting
NASA Administrator Bolden and Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Head Perminov co-chaired the fourth meeting of the Space Cooperation Working Group in Moscow on April 15, 2011.
