(As delivered)
Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I would like to commend the Governments of Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro for their decision to abolish the requirement for their citizens to travel between the two countries for six months. In the case where this is temporary, we hope that this arrangement will be made permanent in the very near future. The United States welcomes this action as a positive indication of the Government of Croatia's continuing efforts to strengthen regional relations as well as to facilitate further refugee returns. Thank you. |
