Ambassador Thorne (Jan. 24): "I think it's a tragedy, we feel very badly for all the families, and for all the families, not just the American families. You know, we certainly wish that this didn't happen. I've been very impressed with the amount of help and work that all the different services have been doing here in Giglio, and I know everyone cares a lot, and we, I speak for the United States, we're very grateful for all the effort that's being made to try to recover or find the lost ones."
