Fort Worth Zoo

Consistently ranked among the top zoos in the nation, the 68-acre Fort Worth Zoo is home to more than 400 animal species, including a world-famous reptile collection. Visitors to the Zoo can see a vast collection of exotic animals in natural habitat exhibits, where they are often only separated from the animals by a river or waterfall.

The award-winning Zoo was founded in 1909 and is the oldest continuous zoo site in Texas. The Fort Worth Zoo supports more than 20 conservation projects around the globe, and was awarded two conservation awards for work benefiting the Jamaican iguana and the Puerto Rican crested toad.
