Chairman and CEO of El Pomar Foundation. He is President Emeritus of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) having served during 4 Olympic Games. In March 2003, he was elected Chairman of IFES and in June 2004 elected Chairman of IFES Ltd, an affiliated organization registered in the UK. Bill also serves as Chairman and CEO of the U.S. Olympic Foundation and as President of the Air Force Academy Foundation. He was Special Counsel to the President in Washington DC in 1981 and served as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy from 1990-1997. In 2001, Bill was appointed U.S. Representative to the 56th General Assembly of the United Nations and in 2005 he was appointed as a Commissioner to the Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education (WICHE). He is a 1964 graduate of The Colorado College with a B.A., and the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder with a J.D. in 1967.
Bill and his wife live in Colorado Springs and have two sons and six grandchildren.
