Rachel S. Moore
Formerly a member of American Ballet Theatre's corps de ballet (1984-1988), Rachel Moore was appointed Executive Director of ABT in April, 2004. A graduate of Brown University with a masters degree in Arts Administration from Columbia University, Moore was the director of the Center for Dance Education at Boston Ballet since 2001. Prior to taking her post, she served as Executive Director of Boston's Project Step and Managing Director of Ballet Theater of Boston. Moore also held senior positions with Americans for the Arts and the National Cultural Alliance, both in Washington, DC. She has served as adjunct faculty in the dance department at Emerson College and taught non-profit finance in the Graduate Program in Arts Administration at Boston University. In addition, Moore has served on numerous grant panels for the National Endowment for the Arts and continues to hold a board seat at Project Step.
