Julio E. Munoz

Inter-American Press Association (IAPA) Executive Director. Doctor in Mass Communications, School of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of Minnesota (1983); Master of Arts in Communications, University of the Pacific in Stockton, California (1977). Graduated with a degree in journalism from the School of Journalism at the University of Concepcion in Chile (1972) and graduated from CIESPAL, International Center for Studies in Communications (1972). Since 1982, he has been an employee of the IAPA, as manager and later director of the Technical Center and as Deputy Executive Director, becoming IAPA Executive Director in 1994. Previously, from 1969 to 1982, he held a wide range of positions in the field of journalism. He also was a professor of journalism at the Catholic University of Chile in the city of Concepcion.
