Kurdistan Business Exchange Conference will open doors to worldwide commerce

Major Terry Lannan, Australian Army and Multinational Forces, Iraq(Baghdad, Iraq) - This March hundreds of Kurdish businessmen and women from Sulymaniyah, Erbil, Dahuk, and Kirkuk will meet in Dubai with hundreds of businessmen and women from the Middle East and around the world interested in investing in Iraq. Three Kurdish Ministers, four Kurdish Governors, and their advisors will join officials from the United Arab Emirates and chambers of commerce from around the region.

Major Terry Lannan of the Australian Army and Multinational Forces - Iraq has been working to bring the two groups together. Lannan is a 35-year veteran and former reservist from near Melbourne. As a businessman and retailer in civilian life, Lannan brings essential business sense to the process.

"At this point we are getting a lot of interest from agribusiness, construction, and the service industries. We're also mindful that this is a multi-tiered approach because there are other governmental agencies who are working on the macro level. So we are focusing on small and medium sized business because we know they are the engine for growth in every economy."
