But the idea that anyone is responsible for the refugee crisis other than al-Qaida and the Taliban and the other people who have caused such tragedy in Western Pakistan is ludicrous. This entire problem begins with al-Qaida and its associates, and everybody in the world knows that, and it's silly to even respond to such a ludicrous charge.
We believe that the actions taken by the Pakistani government and the military in recent weeks have been necessary, essential and have improved the situation. But the fighting is still going on, there's a lot more to go.
