OAS General Assembly

The XXXVIII Regular Session of the OAS General Assembly met in Medellín, Colombia on June 1-3, 2008, under the theme "Youth and Democratic Values." The 2007 session met in Panama, where the theme was "Energy for Sustainable Development." The 2006 session, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, addressed the topic of "Good Governance and Development in the Knowledge Based Society." The United States hosted the XXXV Regular Session of the OAS General Assembly in Fort Lauderdale Florida, in 2005, under the theme "Delivering the Benefits of Democracy."
