Mr. Arnaudo is a career civil servant, with over thirty years experience in environmental and science policy affairs. Most recently, he served as the Head of the U.S. Antarctic Treaty Secretariat, and prior to this was the Senior Advisor for nuclear energy and multilateral nuclear nonproliferation with the Department of Energy at the American Embassy in Moscow from 2006-08. Before that, he was the Acting or Deputy Director of the Office of Oceans Affairs, and has a long history of work in ocean and polar affairs. He has also served as the Science and Environment Counselor at the American Embassy in London and the U.S. Permanent Representation to the UN International Maritime Organization.
Mr. Arnaudo received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and his Masters of Arts from the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and has served in the US Army.
