Dr. Dafna H. Rand joined the Policy Planning Staff in May 2010. Her portfolio covers Middle East and security issues. Previously, she served as a professional staff member on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Formerly, she was an Exchange Scholar at Yale University and an adjunct researcher at the RAND Corporation. Dr. Rand has published on the Middle East, political development, and international security. She received her AB from Harvard University, and her MA and Ph.D. from Columbia University.
