Megan Rooney is a speechwriter for Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Previously, she was the speechwriter for Michelle Obama for the final stretch of the Obama For America campaign and a senior writer for West Wing Writers, a speechwriting and strategy firm in Washington, where she wrote speeches, op-eds and other communications materials for heads of state, corporate executives, philanthropists, activists, and civic leaders. Before becoming a speechwriter, she was a researcher and copy editor for the Washington Post and an intern at the Chronicle of Higher Education. She graduated from Brown University.
