Dr. Miguel Rodrigues joined the Secretary’s Policy Planning Staff in August 2012, where he covers the European Union, its member states and Switzerland. Foreign Service assignments include Lithuania, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the Estonia/Finland and Jamaica Desks and the State Department’s Pandemic Influenza Action Group. He is an Economic Officer and focused on the Eurozone and other aspects of European integration while a Visiting Fellow at the German Marshall Fund. A radiologist by training, Dr. Rodrigues graduated from Dartmouth College and has Masters degrees from Johns Hopkins SAIS and Harvard.
