Michael Camilleri’s portfolio covers Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. Prior to joining the Policy Planning Staff he was a human rights specialist at the Organization of American States, where he served as Senior Legal Adviser to the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. He also served as a Senior Staff Attorney at the Center for Justice and International Law and worked with civil society organizations in Guatemala, and he has been an adjunct professor at the American University Washington College of Law and the University of Baltimore School of Law. Mr. Camilleri holds a B.A. in History from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Harvard.
